5 biggest donors for Tech industry's
Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg
and his wife Priscilla Chan, a pediatrician, bested the arrangement of the most
liberal American humanitarians in 2013 with a gift of 18 million shares of
Facebook stock that are currently worth more than $1 billion. As indicated by
the Chronicle of Philanthropy, it was the biggest beneficent blessing on people
in general record in 2013. On Friday, they reported a $120 million blessing to
the San Francisco Bay Area government funded school framework.
A portion of the country's
greatest providers, including Microsoft fellow benefactor Bill Gates and his
wife, Melinda, did not show up on the 2013 schedule, not on account of they
quit being liberal, but since their gifts in 2013 were included as vows past
years.
With that, here are the five
greatest benefactors from the innovation segment a year ago, as accumulated by
the Chronicle of Philanthropy.
1. Mark Zuckerberg and
Priscilla Chan, with more than $1 billion, to the Silicon Valley Community
Foundation.
2. Ebay organizer Pierre
Omidyar and his wife, Pam, with $225 million to Hopelab, Humanity United,
Omidyar Network, and the Ulupono Initiative.
3. Qualcomm fellow
benefactor Irwin Jacobs and his wife, Joan, with $221 million to The Jacobs
Technion-Cornell Innovation Institute at Cornell Tech, an innovation centered
doctoral level college in New York City, and different elements, for example,
the San Diego Public Library Foundation.
4. Google fellow benefactor
Sergey Brin and his wife, Anne Wojcicki (now divided) with $219 million to the
Brin Wojcicki Foundation and to the Michael J Fox Foundation for Parkinson's
Research.
5. Microsoft fellow
benefactor Paul Allen, with $206 million to the Paul G. Allen Family Foundation
and to the EMP Museum in Seattle.
